Samantha Massell is an actress, singer, and writer based in New York City. She has appeared on Broadway, on television, in films, in regional theater, alongside symphonies, and in a variety of commercials.
Samantha was last seen on Broadway starring as Hodel in Bartlett Sher's acclaimed revival of Fiddler on the Roof. On stage, Samantha has originated a number of lead roles in world premiere musicals including Rosalind Franklin in Madeline Myers's Double Helix at Bay Street Theatre, Karla in Scott Frankel & Robert Freedman's The Flamingo Kid at Hartford Stage, and Rebecca in the revisal of Stephen Schwartz & Charles Strouse's Rags. On television, her most recent appearances include recurring roles on Dynasty, Chicago Fire, and Mr. Mercedes. Samantha made her Broadway debut at age 12 in Bad Luhrmann's La Boheme.
A native New Yorker, Samantha is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of The University of Michigan, where she double majored in Musical Theatre and English and won an award for getting eight semesters of straight As. Her mother is thrilled that she has included this information on her website.
