Samantha Massell is an actress, singer, writer, and filmmaker based in New York City. She has appeared on Broadway, on television, in films, in regional theater, alongside symphonies, and in commercials. 

Samantha was last seen on Broadway starring as Hodel in Bartlett Sher's acclaimed revival of Fiddler on the Roof. On television, her most recent appearances include recurring roles on DocDynastyChicago Fire, and Mr. Mercedes. On stage, Samantha has originated a number of lead roles in world premiere productions including Vera Simpson in Chez Joey (Arena Stage), Rosalind Franklin in Double Helix (Bay Street Theatre), Karla in The Flamingo Kid (Hartford Stage), and Rebecca in the revisal of Rags (Goodspeed). Samantha made her Broadway debut at age 12 in Baz Luhrmann's production of Puccini's La Boheme.

As a writer, Samantha has a variety of projects in development for stage and screen. Her debut short film Stop to Stop  recently made its world premiere at Oscar-qualifying Cleveland International Film Festival. 

A native New Yorker, Samantha is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of The University of Michigan, where she double majored in Musical Theatre and English.
